Dawn E. Wild, age 59, of Burnettsville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 27, 2024, surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 28, 1964, in Logansport to Cecil Smith and Diana (Debarge) Nihiser. She was married on August 25, 1984, in Logansport, to Jeff A. Wild who survives.

Dawn was the former pastor of the Burnettsville Church of the Brethren. She was a 1982 graduate of Logansport High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Anderson University.

Other survivors, including her husband Jeff, are one son, Brandon (Morgan) Wild, Greencastle; one daughter, Sarai (Grant) Quimby, Bloomington; mother, Diana Nihiser, Logansport; one brother, Cecil ( Carol) Smith Jr. Athens, AL; two step sisters, Donna (Bill) Holding, Granite Falls, NC; Debbie (John) Laurencell, Las Vegas, NV; three half-sisters, Kristi (Wes) Hull, Galveston; Anna (Chet) Berry, Peru; Becky Buck, Twelve Mile;  two step-brothers, David (Jutta) Nihiser III, Crown Point; Daniel (April) Nihiser, Brookeville, OH; four grandchildren, Mason Wild, Annabel Wild, Paylin Quimby, and Olivia Quimby.

Dawn was preceded in death by her stepfather, David L. Nihiser Jr. and her father, Cecil Smith.
