President John S. Pistole Named to the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities Board

Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University President John S. Pistole has recently been named to the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) board.
Pistole is one of 19 members on the Board of Directors. After being approached by President Shirley V. Hoogstra to prayerfully consider having his name put forth as a candidate, Pistole agreed, and was then voted in as a new board member, effective March 2021 for a three-year term.
There are over 180 institutions in the CCCU with over 520,000 students enrolled globally each year. The CCCU’s mission is to advance the cause of Christ-centered higher education and to help its institutions transform lives by faithfully relating scholarship and service to biblical truth.
“I am honored to have been elected to the Board of Directors of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities,” said Pistole. “The CCCU works hard in D.C. to ensure that issues important to Christian colleges and universities, like Anderson University, are represented and communicated well to Congress and the Administration. AU has been a member of the CCCU for over 10 years.”

The CCCU provides unique services for administration, faculty, students, and friends of Christian higher education in three pillars of strategic focus: public advocacy, professional development and scholarship, and experiential education.
