AU To Host Achievement Gap Strategies Event July 12

Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University is hosting a free event on achievement gap strategies Tuesday, July 12 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Reardon Auditorium. The event is in conjunction with the Madison County Success Coalition.

The event is open to all and will explore the achievement gap in Indiana and Madison County. Keynote speaker, Dhanfu Elston, Ph.D., will be sharing the most recent and relevant information on the achievement gap and how communities can address the gap through collaborative interventions. 

Elston currently serves as the chief of staff and senior vice president for strategy at Complete College America.

Local educators and youth service providers will also speak on what is currently being done to assist youth in their academic journeys. Participants in attendance will have time to share about the work they are doing and how it contributes to the work of student success.
