AU Engineering Boasts 90% Passage Rate on Fundamentals of Engineering Exam

Anderson, Ind. — The Anderson University engineering program class of 2024 has posted the highest first-time passage rate on the Fundamentals of Engineering exam in program history. 90 percent of all engineering students passed.

The Fundamentals of Engineering exam is the first step in becoming a licensed professional engineer. It serves as an external validation of program strength. The average first-time passing rate across all disciplines on the exam is 71 percent.  

“The FE Exam provides external validation of the quality of our engineering graduates and their preparation at Anderson University,” said Dr. Ben McPheron, chair of physical sciences and engineering. “These students are prepared to enter the engineering workforce and have taken their first step toward professional licensure, demonstrating a commitment to continued professional development. We are proud of every one of our graduates and so excited for their demonstrated success so early in their careers.”
