Anderson, Ind. — The newest student art show is coming to Anderson University and the Wilson Gallery. The TINY exhibition opens Nov. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. and will run through Jan. 22. Awards will be at 6 p.m. on opening night for best in show and honorable mentions.

The TINY exhibition will feature more than 100 creative works from students across Anderson University’s art and design classes, as well as contributions from the broader student body. Each student will work on a 6×6 inch canvas, showcasing their artistic talents in a small format.

“My favorite show of the year is the annual juried student exhibition,” said Holly Sims, assistant professor of visual communication and design. “I love seeing all the talent from our students within our department, and across the campus”

The show will also feature paintings by the juror, JD Bills, an Indianapolis-based fine artist, muralist, and illustrator which will be displayed in the gallery hall. Bills’ work captivates audiences of all ages with its unique blend of modern aesthetics and timeless appeal. Specializing in color and dynamic imagery, Bills’ creations seamlessly integrate elements of street art and graphic design, resulting in pieces that are both visually striking and deeply meaningful.

“This year I had the idea to create a tiny exhibition, to try to incorporate more students, and I have really enjoyed seeing shows of this size put on by the Indianapolis Arts council annually as well,” said Sims. “It’s fun seeing just a small glimpse into the creativity of each individual.”
