Drew Beechler is an alum of Anderson University, graduating in 2013 with degrees in marketing and music business.

Growing up in Indianapolis, Beechler found his home at Anderson University after visiting his friends on campus during high school. Though his original plan was to work in music–aiming for big-name labels like Sony or Universal Records–Beechler pursued marketing and business classes on campus.

When asked about his time at AU, Beechler reflected on all the opportunities and connections, even describing a relationship with another Anderson alum that started as an internship opportunity and blossomed into a nearly 12-year friendship.

“The common heritage from Anderson is that everyone’s just really willing to help out,” said Beechler. “[Everyone is] rooting for each other and very giving of their time and talents, and resources as well.”

While Beechler began his professional career at High Alpha, a tech company in Indianapolis, it was only his first step into the industry. At present, he stands as the CEO and founder of Holder.

“Holder is a Web3 marketing platform, so the idea for Holder really came about was more around how do we help these companies build more sustainable, durable businesses and help them grow?” said Beechler. Holder is a way for companies to engage their audience in a decentralized world.

“There’s never going to be the perfect time to start a company or jump out on your own on anything like that. I think it’s just the people who take the first swing,” said Beechler. “Everyone has a billion-dollar idea in their head, and only the people that start those ideas and execute on it, and put in the work, really bring that to fruition.”

While in his position, Beechler’s expertise recently allowed him the opportunity to work on the digital marketing team for the 2024 NBA All-Stars tournament in Indianapolis.

“I think those opportunities came all because of that, because of the network I had built, because of the hard work that I’ve put in over the years, and just being open to opportunities to help,” said Beechler.
