Elizabeth Diane (Raper) Bostic ’00 of Anderson, Indiana, died August 14, 2021, at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson at the age of 73. She was born January 23, 1948, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Carl Bernard and Crystal (Pence) Raper.

She graduated from Markleville High School in 1966 and Anderson University in 1999 with a degree in sociology. She worked as a guard at the Juvenile Department of Corrections in Pendleton, Indiana. She was a member of Mounds Baptist Church, and was an avid bowler in the 1970s. She loved the outdoors, especially bird watching and feeding the wild animals around her property. She was an avid reader and raced go-carts in the 1990s.

She is survived by her children, Brigette (Shannon) Ealy of Anderson, Tim (Melanie) Ellis Jr. of Pennsylvania, Matt Bostic of Wabash, and a stepson, Brian Bostic of Anderson; her brother, Bernard (Karla) Ray of Pendleton; 11 grandchildren, Riley Reason, Isaiah Reason, Heather Reason, Aryanna Ealy, Timothy Ellis III, Nathaniel Winters, Maddison Wilkerson, Jeremy (Shelby) Bostic, Courtney (Chris) Gordon, Jordan Bostic, and Keegan Bostic; four great-grandchildren; three nephews, Chris (Michelle) Ray, Brett (Amber) Ray, Brandon (Andria) Ray; and eight great-nieces and nephews.

Anderson University educates students for lives of faith and service, offering more than 50 undergraduate majors, 30 three-year degrees, 20 NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports, alongside adult and graduate programs. The private, liberal arts institution is fully accredited and recognized for excellence in business, computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, music, nursing, psychology, and teacher education programs. Established in 1917 in Anderson, Indiana, by the Church of God, the university remains committed to its Christ-centered mission.
