AU is the perfect place for Ivy Tech Community College transfer students, as we offer the small class sizes you’re used to, familiar learning environments, and state-of-the-art resources that enhance your educational experience as you continue to work towards your goal of earning your bachelor’s degree.
These 2+2 transfer agreements are ideal for students who wish to extend their college experience and engage in AU’s campus community for the traditional four-year college experience.

Students who meet the following requirements could transfer to Anderson with junior status:
Requirements
Students who meet the following requirements could transfer to Anderson University with junior status:
- Complete a qualifying Transfer Single Articulation Pathway (TSAP) degree program at Ivy Tech
- Earn at least a C- (or C in English classes) on all Ivy Tech coursework
- Earn a 2.0 GPA or higher grade point average on a 4-point scale
Required Additional Courses
- Must complete LART 4500, BIBL 2000, and the Christian Ways of Knowing.
- If majoring in professional development, LART 4500 – Critical Thinking and Professional Development will be required.

Areas of study
Biology
Students transferring into biology within the College of Arts & Sciences at AU will have the advantage of:
- Hands-on labs and opportunities to conduct independent research under the mentorship of biology faculty that include experience in molecular, biochemical, and microbiological techniques.
- Opportunity to work closely with academic advisors or career counselors in preparation for applying to graduate or medical professional programs, preparing for MCAT and Graduate Record Exams.
- Four areas of specialization in pre-health professional programs, science education, molecular biology/biochemistry/microbiology, and ecology/environmental biology
Christian Ministry
Students transferring into Christian ministry within the College of Theological, Graduate, & Online Studies at AU will have the advantage of:
- Develop the biblical foundations, theological understanding, and practical skills necessary to serve as an impactful servant leader in various ministry contexts and make a lasting difference, preparing you for a life of purpose and impact.
- Explore Christian beliefs, practices, and experiences through coursework designed to encourage informed reflection and ministry practice, providing both depth and breadth in your calling to gain a robust, well-rounded ministry education.
- Whether you aim to enter the field, pursue graduate studies immediately, or integrate ministry with another profession, the program offers various degree options, including a 4+1 BA to MDiv track, and prepares you for diverse career pathways in ministry, allowing you to chart your path with flexible options.
Cybersecurity
Students transferring into cybersecurity within the College of Arts & Sciences at AU will have the advantage of:
- AU’s cybersecurity degree program is designed to meet the curricular learning outcomes for a validated program of study described by the National Security Agency (NSA)
- Hands-on experience in the Cybersecurity Engineering Lab established through the support of Ascension Technologies, Integration Partners, Extreme Networks, and Dell EMC.
- The National Security Studies Fellows connects students through fireside chats to security professionals with current or recent experience in national security.
Elementary Education
Students transferring into elementary education within the College of Professional Studies at AU will have the advantage of:
- Getting ready to teach kindergarten through grade 6 and impact future generations through a program designed to prepare you for success as a rewarding elementary educator.
- Participating in valuable classroom observations and complete a full semester of student teaching, along with opportunities for experiential learning through volunteering, to gain hands-on teaching experience.
- Exploring various scholarships and state grants, including the TEACH Grant, specifically available to help fund your education as a future teacher, allowing you to access significant financial support.
Psychology
Students transferring into psychology within the College of Arts & Sciences at AU will have the advantage of:
- Psychological science to help equip unique paths toward graduate school or preparation for career development.
- The opportunity to be a part of Psi Chi, the national honor society for psychology.
Social Work
Students transferring into social work within the College of Arts & Sciences at AU will have the advantage of:
- Accredited program by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE).
- The opportunity to be a part of Phi Alpha Theta XI, a social work honorary society.
- Experience local prison ministry and inner-city Chicago trips, along with other mini-internships.
- Full-semester practicum sites in and around Madison County.
