2025-26 Chapel Theme: BEGIN AGAIN
We’re so excited that “Begin Again” is the Chapel Theme for our 2025-26 academic year. In light of this, our campus community will journey through the book of Genesis in the fall and the gospel of John in the spring.
We’ve chosen to study these two books because from the beginning of all things to the promise of life in Christ, Genesis and John are not only foundational to Scripture, but living narratives of creation, calling, and God’s ongoing work to make all things new. Just as the people in these accounts were invited to trust, obey, and step into a new identity as God’s people, our Chapel Theme verse, Colossians 3:9-10, also challenges us to, “Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator,” so we can step into the freedom and purpose found in Jesus.
Throughout the year, we will also hear present day, personal transformation stories of how individuals inside and outside of our AU community have experienced what it means to “Begin Again” through forgiveness, grace, healing, and spiritual renewal. Our prayer is that throughout the entire year, this theme will inspire students, faculty, and staff to be drawn into the powerful reality that in Christ, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are not bound by who we’ve been, but God can mold us into the likeness of Jesus and bring glory to His name by using us to have a godly impact on the people around us.
