Spiritual Life
CHAPEL
The chapel program provides a warm environment to integrate faith and learning, no matter where you are in your spiritual journey. Our student-led worship and Bible teaching chapel speakers provide an atmosphere where God is able to challenge and transform our community toward a life of Christ-centered love and service. These gatherings are designed to encourage greater intimacy with God, one another, and our greater community.
CHapel schedule
Undergraduate chapel services are held every Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Reardon Auditorium. School of Theology & Christian Ministry chapel services are held every Thursday in Miller Chapel at 11 a.m.
chapel attendance
AU requires chapel attendance because we are committed to its role in fulfilling our mission. This time together is deeply valuable to our community, so we ask students to commit to at least 12 out of the 15 Tuesday chapel opportunities each semester. CHAPEL THEME: Building on
We’re so excited that “Building On” is the chapel theme for our 2026-27 academic year. In light of this, our campus community will journey through the book of Exodus in the fall and the gospel of Matthew in the spring.
Theme verse: “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.
