Chapel / Convocation

Chapel for the Fall 2020 semester will take on different look. Due to the COVID-19 virus and limited group gatherings, Chapel attendance will be voluntary. Please check the Chapel schedule for specific details for each Chapel session.
The theme for the 2020-2021 Spiritual Formation experience is “Transformation at the Speed of Life” and will provide students, faculty and staff, the opportunity to contemplate and develop a pattern of self-reflection with regard to change or transformation, in our own lives, by asking and answering the following questions:
• How does this story affect my story?
• Where in my life is change needed?
• How can my life look more like Jesus’?
• What are some next steps to help me make changes?

Chapel/convocation attendance has always been an integral part of what it means to be a student in the Anderson University community. Every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m., we gather together for worship, enrichment, and community building. Students regularly participate as musicians and worship leaders, and we welcome speakers including campus personalities and outstanding guests from many parts of the United States and the world.

The chapel/convocation experience on this campus sets us apart from secular schools and many private church-related colleges. We maintain this tradition as a sign of our devotion to be a learning, worshiping community, dedicated to the integration of faith and learning.

Chapel Schedule

Undergraduate chapel services are held every Tuesday and Thursday in Reardon Auditorium at 11 a.m. unless otherwise specified. School of Theology and Christian Ministry chapel services are held every Thursday in Miller Chapel at 11 a.m. unless otherwise specified.

Experiencing God’s Presence

I started my collegiate career at a different school, and by the end of my freshman year, I realized something was missing. I wanted a campus that was more Christ-centered and a place that I could have genuine relationships with people. Then I heard about AU. Immediately when I got onto campus it was clear that God’s presence was here.
