Professor Matthew Burch joined the AU faculty in 2023. He has previously worked in project management, consulting, product development, and IT in the fields of software, higher education, construction, and board game publishing. Professor Burch received a B.A. in Computer Science from Anderson University, and an M.S. in Information and Communication Sciences from Ball State University. Having graduated from this department, Professor Burch seeks to carry on the traditions of mentorship and experiential learning that he benefited from as a student, as well as expanding and improving his skills and the offerings of the department.

Matthew and his wife Kristy have two sons, three cats, and a dog. His interests include writing, playing, and recording music, board and video gaming, repairing and repurposing discarded electronics, and learning new skills.
