Dear Ravens,

Due to our desire to intentionally make thoughtful decisions in the interest of health and safety, we are closing all areas of the Kardatzke Wellness Center (KWC) at 7 p.m. today, Friday, November 13. Reopening the KWC will be evaluated following Thanksgiving break.

The only permitted persons that will be allowed on KWC grounds will be the Department of Kinesiology, Department of Athletics and Sports Medicine staff, students with athletic related internships, pre-scheduled dance classes, and students receiving COVID tests (see details below).

As I shared yesterday, we want to send you home healthy so you may gather and rejoice with loved ones. With that in mind, we are offering COVID testing on campus on Monday, November 16 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the O.C. Lewis gymnasium balcony. Please sign up here. If you have COVID symptoms, or if you are simply concerned, we greatly urge you to get tested. Further instructions for those who test positive regarding meals and quarantine plans will be announced at a later time.

We understand that your schedule may prohibit you from getting tested during the given timeframe. If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to explore the following resources for local testing locations:

ISDH county locations

Symptomatic rapid testing

CVS Pharmacy

If you get tested somewhere outside of campus, please email your results to covid19@anderson.edu to help us better understand the health status of the university. This information will be crucial in our future reopening plans. As always, your results will be kept confidential.

Please remember, I want you to enjoy Thanksgiving and have a strong end to the semester. But above all else, I want to keep you and your loved ones healthy. Consider getting tested on Monday.

We are #StillAU!

Blessings,

President Pistole
