Interest Clubs

Treehuggers is an Anderson University student-run club dedicated to the appreciation of the environment through outdoor adventure and sustainability. We plan and participate in different outdoor activities such as hiking and camping as well as seek to provide environmental-focused learning opportunities and push for sustainable practices across campus and in our individual lives.

College Mentors for Kids

College Mentors for Kids is a great program to get involved with the community. We pair up mentors (AU students) with little buddies (local elementary school students). Each week, the little buddies come to AU’s campus to participate in some fun after-school activities! This is a great way to be a positive influence in someone’s life, and our little buddies have so much to teach us! This is not a tutoring program, but a fun way to spend your afternoon playing games and doing crafts with some awesome kiddos!

Board Game Club

The Board Game and Tabletop Gaming Club is a place where members of the Anderson University community can gather to play various games around the table. Each week a variety of new games are brought by members to try out, such as Catan, Dominion, Exploding Kittens, Deep Sea Adventures, and more. Customizable Card Games like Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, and Magic: The Gathering also get plenty of play at meetings, so feel free to bring your deck or learn from one of our members using one of their decks. Beyond our weekly meetings, the club also organizes tabletop role-playing groups and campaigns, such as Dungeons and Dragons 5e, to help new and experienced players find groups on campus to play with. Even if you’ve never played anything more than Monopoly, you are welcome to come by and discover that board games are anything but boring!
