Dr. Doyle Lucas Earns R.L. Sosnowski Award

Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University Professor Emeritus of Management Dr. Doyle Lucas was recently awarded the R.L. Sosnowski Award by Delta Mu Delta. The award, established in 2005, recognizes extraordinary achievement by faculty advisers.

The award is named in honor of Rich Sosnowski, a Delta Mu Delta member from 1974 until his death in 2012. He was also a former secretary and executive director of the society. Lucas was also recognized by Delta Mu Delta for his academic excellence as a student in 1978.

“We are incredibly proud to honor Dr. Doyle Lucas for his remarkable 38 years of dedication and service to Delta Mu Delta,” said Dr. Lonnie Leeper, dean of the Falls School of Business. “Receiving the prestigious R.L. Sosnowski Award highlights his extraordinary leadership, commitment, and impact on our students and the broader academic community.”

Lucas served at Anderson University for more than 40 years, teaching in the Falls School of Business from 1984 to 2024.
