Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University’s Dr. Caroline Ahn, artistic director and assistant professor of music, will have her commissioned piece “Take Me Home Clouds, Take Me Home” performed by the Carmel Symphony Orchestra Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The show is the orchestra’s season opening performance and the event will be held at the Palladium in Carmel, Indiana.

The piece is a part of Ahn’s “Take Me Home” collection, a reflection of her personal experiences and emotions ranging from homesickness to love for her new Carmel home.

“This commission is very special for me,” said Ahn. “As a Carmel, Indiana, resident for 18 years, I always wanted to write a piece about Carmel and dreamt about having my piece performed in the beautiful Palladium. I, in fact, wrote my piece about Carmel many years ago when Carmel Festival asked me to write a theme song for their event and they promoted it well. However, it never came to be realized in the Palladium. I am so thrilled about this opportunity.”

Those wishing to attend can purchase tickets by calling the Palladium Box Office at 317-843-3800.
