Anderson University to host 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance

Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University, in partnership with Madison County Emergency Management and Office of Homeland Security, as well as Community Organizations Active in Disasters (COAD) and Americorps, will host a 9/11 Day of Remembrance September 11 from 11 to 11:50 a.m. at York Performance Hall.
This grant-supported event through Community Engaged Alliance will bring together AU students, faculty, and staff, along with community partners and local public servants. From 11:00 to 11:50 in York Auditorium, The service will honor first responders and educate the community about emergency management in Central Indiana.
Following the service from noon to 1 p.m. in the York Performance Hall lobby, there will be a service fair with community partners, including Madison County EMA, COAD, local non-profits, businesses, and houses of worship that provide support for emergency/disaster response in Madison County, that is open to the AU student body and local Anderson community.
Featured speakers at the 11 a.m. service include:

- Indiana Department of Homeland Security Deputy Director Ashleigh Presnar
- Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Protective Security Advisor Steve “Bronco” Broniarczyk
