Anderson University Presents Classic Musical “Guys and Dolls”

Anderson, Ind. — The Anderson University School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of the timeless musical “Guys and Dolls.” The show will be performed at Byrum Hall on Anderson University’s campus.

Performance dates and times are Friday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, April 6 at 2:30 p.m.; Friday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, April 12 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

“Guys and Dolls,” set in the bustling streets of New York City, showcases a tale of gamblers, showgirls, and the quest for true love. The musical features classic songs and dance numbers that have captivated audiences for decades. 

“I’m thrilled to be directing my second big spring musical at AU with such a talented and hardworking cast,” said Jason James, director of theatre and musical theatre. “‘Guys and Dolls’ is the epitome of golden-age musical comedy and showcases the essential work of a musical theatre major including stylized singing, dance, comedy, and regional dialect. I know you’ll enjoy this feel-good musical and I guarantee you’ll leave humming at least one memorable tune.”
