Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University has welcomed its largest incoming class since 2019 for the 2024-25 academic year. A total of 415 students make up the class across undergraduate, graduate, and seminary students.

“All of us at AU are pleased to welcome our largest incoming class in the last five years,” said President John S. Pistole. “It is an exciting milestone post-pandemic. Our admissions, financial aid, and coaching staff worked tirelessly this past year to assist students and families in their college search and to assist this class in transitioning into our academic community. AU is a place where we strive to help students discern their calling and pursue excellence in all things. We’re grateful they are here and we are excited to walk alongside this new class in the classroom, on field, on the stage, in the dorms, and through all their collegiate endeavors.”

AU saw a 16 percent increase in undergraduate incoming class, and most notably saw an increase in Madison County students by 36 percent. The increase in Madison County students is a direct result of AU’s new Madison County Direct Admit Program.

Anderson’s efforts to recruit international students paid off as the incoming class nearly doubled from 2023-24. The average GPA of the class is 3.4 and 16 percent are 21st Century Scholars.

AU saw significant growth in nursing, cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, and theology programs. Athletics also continues to be a driver for enrollment as 53 percent of the undergraduate incoming class are athletes.
