Dr. Stefanie Leiter graduated from Anderson University with a B.A. in mass communications, specializing in public relations. She later earned her Master of Science in Communication from Purdue University in 2016, following the completion of a graduate certificate in strategic communications in 2015. In 2022, she earned her PhD in Communication from Regent University, successfully defending her dissertation titled “Communicating through the Enneagram: A Christian Higher Education Leadership Study in Pre-Crisis Communication.”

As the director of content strategy and public relations, Stefanie led a content team responsible for managing the Anderson University website, social media platforms for both institutional and admissions purposes, copy for all communication and marketing deliverables, and outreach materials that supported the institution’s reputation. She initially served as an adjunct faculty member for two years before transitioning to a full-time role in the fall of 2017. 

Stefanie serves as the faculty advisor for the PRSSA Anderson University Chapter, the advisor for Fifth Street Communications, a student-led public relations agency, and the department chair for communication & design arts. In addition, Stefanie serves as the director of summer school for undergraduate students.

Stefanie is an accomplished communication professional with nearly 20 years of experience in freelancing, specializing in feature writing, tourism, public relations tactics, crisis communication strategy, social media communication, and content strategy. She currently serves as the newsletter writer and editor for the American Academy of Family Physicians. Stefanie also leads workshops in Crisis Communication and Canva and volunteers with nonprofits to improve their digital and public relations footprint.

Stefanie is married to Dave and has two children, Ava and Jackson, plus two mini poodles, Zeke and Baxter. She is an active member of Park Place Church of God and volunteers her time in Madison County in various roles.
