Lillie Feierabend

World Folk Dances and Folk Songs

Lillie Feierabend is known for her work with young children. She has been an early childhood and general music educator for over forty years and was a conductor for the Connecticut Children’s Chorus for eighteen. She has twice been honored with a Teacher of the Year Award and in 2008 received the Outstanding Elementary Music Educator Award from the Connecticut Music Educators Association. She is a frequent clinician at local, state, and national conferences and has presented over three hundred lively and thought-provoking sessions on music and movement development. She teaches week-long workshops around the country and conducts regional honors choirs.

Lillie is a member of many organizations, Vice President of FAME, and a FAME Endorsed Teacher Trainer. Throughout her career, she has mentored twenty-three student teachers and will forever be grateful for the opportunity. Oh, and she has never met a crossword puzzle she didn’t take a pen to.
