Dr. Leroy Quashie

Professor and Director of Public Health

Dr. Leroy Andrew Quashie holds a BA in Sociology and Psychology from Warner University, MA and Ph. D. in Family Ecology and Sociology, and MPH in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. His research efforts have focused on health and family issues.

Quashie joined the AU faculty in the Fall of 2007. He is considered by his colleagues and students to be a visionary and passionate educator.

In addition to his leadership and teaching assignments at the University, Dr. Quashie is actively engaged in the Anderson community and serves on a number of health and human services boards and committees. He has conducted workshops, seminars, and retreats in the USA, Uganda, South Africa, Kenya, and Botswana on leadership, community development, marriage and family, prayer, and strategic ministry planning.

Dr. Quashie is married to Karen Quashie, has four children, and five grandchildren. He is a member of the Madison Park Church of God congregation and facilitates intercessory prayer sessions, and a member of a local Rotary Club.
