Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University continues to expand its academic offerings with the launch of three new degree programs designed to meet emerging workforce needs while remaining grounded in the university’s Christ-centered mission. Students are now enrolling for fall 2026 in the following programs:

“These new programs reflect Anderson University’s commitment to preparing students for faithful service, meaningful work, and lives of purpose,” said Dr. Courtney Taylor, provost of Anderson University. “As with all of our academic programs, these new degree offerings are grounded in our mission to educate for a life of faith and service, while equipping students for the opportunities and challenges ahead.”

Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence (On-Campus)

Anderson University is excited to be the first among the six Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) in Indiana and possibly the surrounding states to bring this relevant degree forward to the market. The ethical development and use of AI are critical to consider through a Christian worldview. As CCCU’s Indiana pioneer in engineering and cybersecurity programs, Anderson University is continuing our legacy of building a strong STEM foundation that equips students to lead and innovate in a rapidly evolving world. With various accreditations and awards of excellence, our programs are on the cutting edge of excellence and exploration.

The BS in artificial intelligence prepares students to understand, design, and ethically apply AI technologies across industries. Students will study foundational topics, such as machine learning, data analysis, automation, and human-centered technology, while engaging with questions of ethics, responsibility, and faith in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

This program is designed for students interested in careers where technology, innovation, and decision-making intersect, including roles in business, technology, analytics, and emerging AI-driven fields.

Bachelor of Arts in Communication (On-Campus)

The BA in communication equips students with valuable skills to communicate effectively across professional, relational, and cultural contexts. With coursework in public speaking, media, storytelling, and strategic communication, students will be prepared for careers in marketing, media, ministry, public relations, nonprofit leadership, and beyond.
The program emphasizes clarity, integrity, and purpose-driven communication, key skills for leaders in today’s interconnected world.

Associate of Arts in Leadership (Online)

The AA in leadership, offered fully online, is designed for working adults, transfer students, and those seeking to build a strong foundation in leadership principles. The program focuses on ethical leadership, organizational communication, and practical decision-making, making it an accessible pathway for students seeking to advance their professional careers or pursue a bachelor’s degree.

This flexible online format reflects AU’s growing commitment to serving learners beyond the physical campus location.

Mission-Aligned and Market-Responsive

These new programs are the result of faculty-led innovation, shaped through careful academic development. Their work aligns naturally with the “Faithful CAMPUS” framework, introduced by President Scott Moats during his first year as Anderson University’s sixth president. “Faithful CAMPUS” serves as a guiding vision, positioning AU as faith-forward and focused on institutional stewardship. “Faithful” reflects being grounded in AU’s Christian identity and mission, while “CAMPUS” represents six commitments shaping the university’s future:

  • Communication,
  • Aligned programming,
  • Mission-driven stewardship,
  • Partnerships and collaboration,
  • Updated facilities, and
  • Student recruitment and retention.

These are not slogans; they are measurable actions already underway across the university.

“I’m deeply encouraged by the creativity, care, and academic excellence our faculty bring to their work,” said Dr. Scott Moats, president of Anderson University. “These programs demonstrate how faculty leadership and thoughtful innovation can meet real market needs while staying rooted in our Christ-centered mission. It’s exciting to see that work come to life.”

Enrollment is now open for fall 2026 as Anderson University continues to build with faith and focus, supporting faculty-driven innovation that prepares students for lives of purpose, leadership, and service.
