Dr. Rustin Brian

Adjunct Professor of Theology

Rev. Rustin E. Brian, Ph.D. is an adjunct Professor of Theology at Anderson University, teaching primarily in the areas of Christian Doctrine and Ethics. Rusty currently serves as the full-time Lead Pastor at Living Stones Community Church of the Nazarene in Clovis, NM. He is an ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene and has served churches in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle,WA, Kansas City, MO, and Bentonville, AR as both Lead Pastor and Youth Pastor. Rusty and his family spent two years serving as Global Missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene in Nairobi, Kenya, where Rusty served as a Senior Lecturer at Africa Nazarene University. While pastoring, he has also taught at Northwest Nazarene University, Seattle Pacific University, Nazarene Theological Seminary, and St. Paul School of Theology. 

Rusty is a graduate of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL where he earned a Ph.D. in Theology &Ethics. He also studied at the University of Aberdeen en route to his Ph.D., as well as Nazarene Theological Seminary, and Point Loma Nazarene University. He has published several books including Covering Up Luther: How Barth’s Christology Challenged the Deus Absconditus That Haunts Modernity, Jacob Arminius: the Man From Oudewater, and The Death and Resurrection of the Church, all through Cascade Books.
