Coronavirus Update to Parents: March 13

Dear Parents,

Thanks for your patience as we navigate the rapidly changing world of COVID- 19.  The safety of your son and/or daughter is our highest priority, and to that end I wanted to make sure they had shared my earlier email with you.  If not, I’ve included it as an attachment in this email. To keep informed of any recent updates, you may also visit our webpage here

To summarize, following Spring Break which begins later today, we’ll hold virtual e-learning classes only for the week of March 23-27.  In other words, there will be no in-person instruction for that week.  Your student should be participating virtually.  Although the campus will be open for both weeks, there will be limited food service and residential living available for those students unable to go home.

For those students originally scheduled for Tri-S trips, athletic events, AU Chorale, or other school sponsored events over Spring Break, we’ve cancelled or rescheduled all these events, in keeping with guidance from the WHO, CDC, and the State Department over travel and large gathering criteria.

I’ll provide an update to you and your students next week.  I appreciate your understanding and support as we move through this near unprecedented time.

Blessings,
John Pistole
