AU Tennis Courts
The Anderson University tennis teams have a long and storied history on the court, while maintaining a higher calling off it. The priority of the program is to fulfill the mission of Anderson University (to educate for a life of faith and service in the church and society) and to help each other grow closer to Jesus each season.
BuildING AU Tennis INTO A CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM
AU’s tennis program fulfills its mission by knowing “why.”
- Why they are called to prepare through the pain and sacrifice of exerting their bodies.
- Why they have been given talent to sharpen through their preparation.
- Why their talent and preparation provide them platforms to share the love of Jesus.
In order to build a championship program, AU’s tennis programs need a championship facility. Currently, the AU tennis courts are no longer suitable for collegiate competition and are dangerous for practice.
- Large cracks have formed across several courts.
- Home matches have been scheduled at off-campus sites for player safety.
- The true home-court advantage of an on-campus match with friends, classmates, and staff being able to easily attend is lost.

We’re just getting started on our university goal of $600,000.
An improved facility not only helps the program host its own matches, but also ensures that they will be able to host camps that grow the sport in the community and assist with recruiting efforts. In addition, clinics that support the youth of Anderson and Central Indiana will be hosted.
