The finance degree at Anderson University incorporates business administration courses designed to provide a general understanding of the operations of organizations, preparation for careers in administration in business and various other kinds of societal organizations, and preparation for graduate study. Finance majors must complete an area of concentration in either investments or entrepreneurship.

CFA University Affiliation Program

The Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation is the highest distinction in the investment management profession. The CFA Charter is the Gold Standard that equips you not only to enter the profession but also to excel at all stages of your career. It ensures that finance degree candidates gain confidence and clarity in navigating ethical issues, are equipped for complex investment decisions, and connect with an exclusive group of outstanding investment professionals. Our degree program is an affiliate of the CFA Institute®, which means we incorporate much of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) into our curriculum.

The Certified Financial Planner ™ designation is the industry standard in the financial planning industry.  Demand for personal financial advisors is expected to grow at a faster than average rate of 7% through 2028, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Earning CFP® certification is a solid investment in your future, trusted and sought after by firms and clients alike. Our finace degree program is an educational partner with the CFP and prepares you to meet the educational requirements to earning your CFP designation.

Experience

You can gain valuable experience through the AU finance degree in the STAR Trading Room and the Raven Fund. The Falls School of Business features its own financial stock trading room that serves as a real-time, high-tech laboratory classroom simulating a Wall Street environment. This technology is especially exciting for the Raven Investment Club, a group of students managing a real endowment account for Anderson University. The Raven Fund is valued at around $1.5 million and consistently outperforms the market in return and risk.
