Celesta S. Bates, Ph.D., CPA, CGMA
Dr. Bates has been blessed with various opportunities in her chosen field. After earning her MBA from Butler University, she worked in Indiana State Government, where she was the CFO for the Indiana Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Agency for 10 years. Dr. Bates was a partner in a family-owned and operated electrical/mechanical construction company, specializing in commercial, institutional, and industrial projects for local, state, and federal agencies. She taught accounting and business courses at Martin University for 8 years. Most recently she was the Executive Director for Finance for the Ivy Tech Foundation. Dr. Bates is a board member for Storytelling Arts of Indiana and is active at St. Joan of Arc Church in Indianapolis. She is married to Leon, and they have three children.
