Campus Ministries

The mission of Anderson University is to educate for a life of faith and service in the church and society. AU; therefore, is thrilled to offer our students many opportunities to serve our community.

In Matthew 25:40b Jesus reminds us: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me. The Spiritual Life Team is excited to offer opportunities where students can serve people/serve Jesus. Oftentimes when we serve, we allow our hearts to open to those who may be treated as expendable. When our hearts open in this way, we can understand a little better the need for a spiritual presence. Campus Ministries provide space for students to experience serving and then come back together to talk about, debrief, and just process the worth of the people they are serving and the transformation that happens in them as they serve.

Campus Ministries take place both on and off-campus. We suggest you read through the different opportunities to investigate where you may enjoy serving. Our hope is that students find a ministry they are interested in where they work alongside and cultivate community while using their gifts and talents. We hope this results in an expanded worldview, a better understanding of justice, and God’s love for all people. We trust this experience will provide them with the passion to continue serving throughout their life.
