serving & learning together Towards cross-cultural impact

Anderson University’s travel program provides opportunities for students
to learn and serve in cross-cultural settings. The Tri-S program began in 1964 and groups have traveled to Africa, Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean,
the Middle East, and have worked with Native Americans and other ethnic groups
in the United States and Canada. Anderson University strives to graduate
persons with a global perspective who are competent, caring, creative, generous persons of character and potential. The experiential learning that the Tri-S program provides is essential to this development of our students.

“Had I not traveled to Latin America and Europe with Tri-S, I don’t think I would have considered the idea of doing my doctoral studies outside my home country. The short-term experiences I had with Tri-S led directly to the transformative, long-term opportunities I was privileged to experience later down the road.”
