Launch AU Campaign
Center for Public Service
Since 1973, the Center for Public Service (CPS) has been the launching pad for AU students to distinguished careers in public service. These students become the game-changers in their communities, the difference-makers at their companies, and the ones driven to succeed for the greater good.
Helping Future Ravens become Game-Changers for their Communities
Each year, CPS accepts a limited number of applicants to become Fellows in the program. Since CPS opportunities are challenging and time-consuming, Fellows must be highly motivated and have academic abilities and career goals that meet the center’s requirements.
Fellows are introduced to professionals from a variety of industries, including community leaders, off-campus advisory Fellows, service organization representatives, and faculty members. These speakers address a broad range of public service issues, emphasizing the needs and opportunities that exist.
CPS Fellows have enjoyed a variety of experiences throughout the United States and around the world, as well as attending conferences and conventions in various U.S. cities to enhance their academic pursuits. This involvement expands professional contacts and often leads to employment opportunities. Locally, CPS Fellows participate in a variety of service projects that address immediate needs in the Madison County community.

“As I saw the date 2040 referenced on the cover of the most recent Signatures Magazine, I started thinking of my kids. Our youngest just started first grade this year. That puts her on track to be an AU graduate in 2039. Thanks for leading so well with the future in mind. I’m excited about the future! Continuing to lift AU in prayer!”
