Inclement Weather

Dashboard & Policies

The university administration monitors the National Weather Service for weather alerts that have the potential to affect campus operations. If weather conditions warrant, there is a possibility classes will be shifted from in-person to online modalities.

Always assume the university is open for regularly scheduled classes and business unless you are otherwise notified with an official Raven Alert or campus-wide email announcement.

Our inclement weather policy is available below. Please familiarize yourself with the various closure levels and how they impact students and employees in the event of a shift in university operations.

ANDERSON WEATHER

INCLEMENT WEATHER

“Inclement weather” is a generic term often used to describe weather conditions that are either unsafe or undesirable for university operations. Inclement weather can come in many different forms, such as extreme temperatures, storms, and winds.

SEVERE WINTER STORMS

During a winter snow event, our facilities teams work diligently to clear all areas of campus. Please remain cautious while walking throughout campus and dress properly for the cold temperatures. When cold temperatures create the potential of ice, remember to walk like a penguin to prevent falls and injury. Stay safe!

Raven Mobile Safety is an emergency alert system capable of delivering messages to your Anderson University and personal email addresses, as well as your office and cell phone.

  • Faculty and staff can update their contact information by submitting this form to the Office of Work Life Engagement.
