Joining ROTC
What does joining ROTC mean? Students that join ROTC attend class, physical training and lab each week. There is no obligation to the military during a student’s freshman or sophomore year, or until they accept a scholarship from Army ROTC. Students join ROTC to find out if being in the military is the right choice for them. Some students find that it is and go on to compete for a scholarship. Others find out that it may not be the path for them, but they still have the knowledge about the military and leadership skills.
