*Estimated expenses; not fixed charges, and will vary by student. Indirect costs are those things that vary and you may or may not incur. We include those in the cost of attendance so that you may estimate additional costs. These are not exact charges and most of them do not funnel through AU. For example, you can purchase textbooks through our bookstore or privately. If purchased through our bookstore, it will be billed at the cost of the books, on your student account and your financial aid can be applied to it (if you choose.) If you purchase books through another source, you will pay for those separately and those costs will not impact your student account at AU.

As a private, Christian university, we don’t receive direct state or federal subsidies. However, there are many financial aid opportunities you might be eligible for — so don’t let costs stop you from applying today.
