Travel with Tri-S: Study, Serve, Share

Description: 

Calling all AU women’s volleyball players! Journey with your teammates and coaches to the beautiful country of Belize!  Not only will you have the opportunity to serve in the local community, but you will get to take in the amazing scenery. See and do things such as visit Mayan ruins, go snorkeling in a barrier reef, and more! Soak up some sunshine on this amazing trip!

May 11-22, 2026

Cost:

$2,210+ airfare (~$600-$800)

Included:

• Roundtrip airfare from Chicago or Indianapolis
• Lodging
• All meals in-country
• Airport transfers and ground transportation in-country
• Entrance fees for planned group activities
• Travel insurance

Not Included:

• Passport fees
• Entry visa
• Airline fees for additional baggage and/or oversized or overweight baggage
• Travel to and from the departure city
• Any food not covered by Tri-S
• Trip cancellation insurance
• Immunizations and other health/medical needs
• Souvenirs and other personal expenses
• Meals and transportation costs related to missed or cancelled flights

Itinerary:

May 11: Depart from U.S. arrival and transportation to lodging place
May 12: Introduction to coaches, teachers and probably teams and agreement on definition of practice schedule (can switch with project days depending coaches decision)
May 13: School practice and drills in the mornings and play with local youths in the evenings
May 14: School practice and drills in the mornings and play with local youths in the evenings
May 15: Community project to be decided
May 16: Community project to be decided
May 17: Community project to be decided
May 18: Morning archaeological site visit and afternoon market and downtown visit
May 19: Belmopan coaches and teachers practice and drills
May 20:  Belmopan coaches and teachers practice and drills
May 21: Free day, sightseeing
May 22: Depart for the U.S.
