Multicultural Student Services (MSS)

The Cultural Resource Center assists multicultural students by facilitating relationships, programming, academic encouragement, advocacy, and leadership development. Its purpose is to enhance the academic, spiritual, social, and cultural development of multicultural students.

At AU, multicultural students are identified as individuals who are African American, Arab American, Asian American, Hispanic American, Native American, biracial, or multiracial.

The office promotes a spiritually diverse environment where students, faculty, and administrators learn from and value each other’s differences without abandoning their own cultural uniqueness.

In the spirit of cultural humility, we seek to intentionally increase awareness, sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of diverse cultures.

Your AU Story Begins Now

One of the the most meaningful activities I participated in was Black Student Association. I wasn’t the president or the coordinator, but I loved being a part of that team, and getting to have a say in some of the things we did, and being able to be heard and have a voice. We did a lot of great things, and I am proud to be able to share our culture with the whole AU community.
