Katie is the Director of the Center for Career and Calling. In this role, she provides leadership and vision for the office as it helps students in identifying and preparing for their specific career interests through career counseling, job search strategies, and employer recruiting.
Katie is originally from Valparaiso, Ind. and earned a dual bachelor of science degree in International Business and Marketing from Olivet Nazarene University with minors in Spanish and Accounting. After graduating, Katie’s work centered around para-church events. She ran and co-founded a multi-day music and arts festival and consulted on various other festivals, concerts, and live-event promotions as well as for a booking agency, record label, and artist management company. She has guest spoken in classes at Greenville College, Olivet Nazarene University, and Anderson University.
Katie came to Anderson University in 2014 to initially serve as its Employer Relations Coordinator. She completed her Master’s of Business Administration from Anderson University in the spring of 2017.
Katie is married to Rashad. Together they have two sons (Coltan and Malachi) and two dogs (Lux and Cash). The whole family enjoys any opportunity to get outdoors and watch or play sports together.
