Dr. Lolly Bargerstock

Social Work Program Director

Lolly Bargerstock, Ph.D., MSW, professor of social work and social work program director, received her master of social work degree from Indiana University. She completed the Ph.D. at Western Michigan University with a research focus on professional and religious identity integration among undergraduate social work students. She has practiced social work in the fields of mental health, aging, hospice, and home health care. Before she began her full-time teaching tenure, she provided mental health services for AU students and taught as adjunct faculty. Dr. Bargerstock primarily teaches macro-level social work classes helping students understand the positive impact they can have on communities and organizations.

She has been an active member of Park Place Church of God for almost thirty years and has served in various leadership roles for the Park Place Community Center. For more than fifteen years, she has served as a consultant to the Indiana Church of God Ministries in instances of alleged pastoral misconduct.

Dr. Bargerstock has been at Anderson University as full-time faculty since 2004.
