Dr. Elizabeth Imafuji
Dean, School of Humanities, Education, & Behavioral Science; Professor of English
Elizabeth Imafuji serves as Dean of the School of Humanities, Education, and Behavioral Science. She holds a Ph.D. in English with a concentration in Rhetoric and Composition from Ball State University.
Dr. Imafuji teaches a variety of courses in the Department of English, including first-year writing, History of the English Language, English Grammar and Style, and Later British Literature.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Imafuji researches writing and rhetoric. Recently she has presented her work at national conferences including the Conference on College Composition and Communication, the Council of Writing Program Administrators National Conference, and the Writing and Well-being Conference, and she has published chapters in the textbook Digitally Mediated Writing and You and in the collection The Things We Carry: Strategies for Recognizing and Negotiating Emotional Labor in Writing Program Administration.
She joined the AU faculty in 2005.
