Charles H. Solid

Charles H. Solid ’49 of Anderson passed away peacefully July 14, 2020. He was a graduate of Anderson University, and served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a member of Park Place Church of God and a volunteer at the food pantry. Working most of his life in construction, he built a number of Anderson homes.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Roberta (Hardacre) Solid; grandson, Charles Matthew Solid; great-grandson, Michael Crose; son-in-law, Ron Henson; one brother; and three sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Charlene (Mack) Cermak; son, Garry Solid; grandchildren, Michelle McKenzie, Melissa Ward, Mark (Erin) Solid, and Steele (Amber) Solid; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
