Coronavirus and Tri-S: March 12 Update

Last evening the State Department issued a level 3 warning urging all Americans to reconsider international travel.

As noted in the previous email we are monitoring these changes closely and with this announcement AU will not travel internationally.

The Iceland trip was postponed yesterday and this morning we are postponing the Antigua and Barbuda trip and the Costa Rica trip. So, all Tri-S Spring Break trips have been postponed.

All students are urged to contact the Tri-S Office is they have questions. Things are changing very quickly and they are working diligently to keep up. They will attempt to move these trips but a great deal is unknown at this time.

Trips to the hot zones in South Korea and Italy have also been cancelled. April trips are being individually assessed. If students have questions have them contact their trip leaders or the Tri-S Office. We are still holding trips in May as of now, but this situation is fluid.

We are indeed lucky to have President Pistole on campus since he is one of the most respected national experts on risk assessment, security, and international travel.

Stay safe Ravens and wash your hands.
