Matthew Murray Receives Center for Leadership Development Scholarship

Anderson, Ind. — Each year, in conjunction with the Center for Leadership Development (CLD), Anderson University awards one student a full-tuition scholarship. This year, Matthew Murray is the award recipient.

“This scholarship means a lot because multiple other family members of mine also received CLD scholarships and have had it pay off very well in their futures,” said Murray. “It also means a lot knowing I’m able to attend a private college tuition-free.”

Murray is an Indianapolis, Indiana, native and a graduate of Pike High School. At Anderson, he plans to study mechanical engineering, play soccer, and run track. At Pike, Murray was involved in a variety of activities, including soccer, football, track and field, band, winter marching band, and advanced art.

“AU is pleased to partner with the Center for Leadership Development in honoring Matthew Murray as this year’s scholarship winner,” said Anderson University President John Pistole. “This scholarship includes four years of full tuition and other benefits, and recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of CLD top performers, along with their potential to serve others consistent with Christian values and ethics.”
