Hannah Rady Earns PRSA Scholarship

Anderson, Ind. — Hannah Rady, a senior public relations major and sports marketing minor at Anderson University, was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Public Relations Society of America Hoosier Chapter.
“This scholarship means a lot to me,” said Rady. “It is a direct reflection of how my work in the classroom and professional experiences have paid off. I have gained invaluable experiences during my time at AU, and I wouldn’t be here without everyone in the comm department.”
Rady is a member of the AU volleyball team and assists with sports information duties for the athletic department. She is currently completing an internship with the Madison County Community Foundation where her role includes social media management, marketing campaigns, and content writing. Over the summer, she served as a project management intern at Prolific in Indianapolis.
“When a student receives the top scholarship in the state from PRSA, it solidifies Anderson University’s place in the distinct programming we offer our public relations students,” said Dr. Stefanie Leiter, associate professor of public relations. “It also is the second time a student from our program has received this honor in the past three years, validating our efforts to create relevant experiences inside and outside the classroom.”
Rady has gotten the most out of her time at AU, serving as a host for Raven Watch and the university’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter vice president.
“My professors have pushed me to be the best I can be in the classroom while preparing me for my future career,” said Rady. “My classmates have also encouraged me along the way and given me a community on campus. Lastly, I have to give a special thank you to Dr. Stefanie Leiter. She has been an academic and life mentor for me over the past four years. I am so thankful for her constant support and guidance.”
The PRSA Hoosier Chapter is dedicated to giving back to students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the public relations/communications field at universities in Indiana. Scholarship application submissions are reviewed by a group of active PRSA board and committee members and selected based on merit and financial need.
