Anderson, Ind. — Fall Into Dance is returning to Anderson University’s (AU) Reardon Auditorium November 5, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. and November 6, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. The AU School of Music, Theatre, and Dance (SMTD) is pleased to host this event for the first time in two years and bring dance performances back into the city of Anderson.
Fall Into Dance is a showcase highlighting the creativity and talent of the students in the SMTD, and is open to the AU community and the city of Anderson. All performance pieces are choreographed and performed by current AU students, giving freshman through senior dancers real-life experience in the performance industry.
After two years of working with AU’s cinema and media arts to bring performances to a virtual audience, both students and faculty are excited to bring this show back to life as an in-person event. Dr. Jeffrey Wright, dean of the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, shared, “We are delighted to be able to perform for a live audience since the dancers rely on the energy of the audience to give an inspiring performance.”
Fall Into Dance is known for its variety of dance styles, ranging from ballet to jazz and modern to liturgical, creating a production with something for everyone. “We are so proud of the artistic growth of the dance program and we believe it sets us apart from other schools similar to AU,” said Wright.
Tickets for this event can be purchased through AU’s Reardon Auditorium Box Office or ticketmaster.com. Admission is free for AU students; $5 for non-AU students; $10 for seniors/military; and $12 for adults.
