Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University recently announced that its Legacy Scholarship has been increased from $1,000 to $5,000 annually. This scholarship is available to students whose parent or legal guardian has graduated from Anderson University at any degree level.

“Increasing the legacy scholarship for those sons and daughters of alumni is a significant offering moving forward,” said Trent Palmer, director of Alumni Relations. “We firmly believe that ‘the ones who’ve gone before’ are truly Ravens for life. It’s important to develop opportunities and incentives for those students who would have context and appreciation for the education their parents received.”

To be eligible, a student must carry at least a 2.0 GPA on an unweighted 4.0 scale and must be a full-time, incoming, traditional undergraduate student or transfer student whose parent or legal guardian is a graduate of any degree-granting program at Anderson University, including associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate levels.

“It’s exciting to offer legacy students this increased scholarship,” said Heather Kim, vice president of enrollment, marketing, and communication. “Our hope is that these students can enjoy the traditions and beauty of AU’s campus the way their parents once did.”

Students can complete the AU application online or through the common app.
