Anderson University’s Scott Cagnet named vice president for admissions and athletics

Anderson University has named Scott Cagnet, who has served as the dean of students for the past four years, as the university’s vice president for admissions and athletics. Cagnet brings a deep understanding of student life and a proven record of leadership in higher education. He holds a master’s in higher education administration from Abilene Christian University, and prior to his time at Anderson, he held roles in admissions leadership and athletics coaching.
“I am grateful that I get to be a part of an academic community that has a rich history and a bright future,” said Cagnet. “Anderson University has been instrumental in shaping lives for generations inside and outside of the classroom, and I am excited for the opportunity to introduce the university to future Ravens and to continue to support the growth and success of our student-athletes on and off our athletic fields and courts in new and exciting ways.”
In his role as the vice president for admissions and athletics, Cagnet will oversee the operations of the Office of Admissions, athletics, and global partnerships and recruiting. Cagnet is a member of the 2025 Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI) Leadership Academy’s fifth cohort. The year-long program specializes in the talent development needs of faculty and staff members of private college campuses.
