Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University is hosting the inaugural AU Scholar’s Fair for high school students, including those attending homeschools, co-ops, private schools, online schools, and public schools. The AU Scholar’s Fair takes place Friday, February 21.
This is an opportunity for high school students to present samples of their academic work and compete for recognition and scholarships. The scholar fair especially welcomes students whose schools may not provide such an event. Registration for the event is available until February 14.
“We are thrilled to offer an opportunity for high school students—especially from homeschooled communities—to showcase academic projects. Seniors will also have the chance to compete for a scholarship to Anderson University, where academic excellence is celebrated and nurtured,” says Dr. Laura Stull, professor of psychology, department chair, and honors program director. “This is a great opportunity for students to gain recognition for their hard work and take a step toward future goals.”
Students can choose between science projects and persuasive projects, and present them as posters or oral presentations. Each of these will be evaluated by a college-level instructor, and recognitions will be awarded. This event is limited to 50 students. It is open to all high school students, but only seniors are eligible for the scholarship awards.
