Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University was proud to welcome staff from the Independent Colleges of Indiana, along with guidance counselors from local high schools, to campus June 5 as a part of the ICI’s annual summer tour.

“Partnering with ICI to host this group of school counselors was a true honor,” said Lara Mann, vice president for enrollment. “We curated a day specifically designed for these counselors to meaningfully connect with our students, staff, and faculty. Experiencing AU firsthand is the best way to witness the depth of care we have for our students.”

Courtesy of the ICI, the counselors embark on a three-day tour visiting private colleges across Indiana to become more familiar with the institutions and better equipped to recommend them to their students.

While on campus, counselors heard from a panel of students, faculty, and staff about life at AU, before taking a tour of campus. Counselors finished their half-day visit hearing from David Dungan, executive director of the Center for Security Studies & Cyber Defense at Anderson University. Dungan highlighted AU’s cyber program designation as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) and AU’s premier online cybersecurity degree
