Flexibility for Your Future
This certificate provides ongoing theological education for those who want a taste of seminary, have master’s degrees in other fields, are invested lay leaders looking to strengthen their ministry foundations, or who are interested in continuing their education.
With this 15 credit hour certificate, the classes you complete will also apply toward our seminary master’s degrees. If you want to continue on in your education to complete a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry or Master of Theological Studies, you’ll already be a third of the way there with your completed certificate courses, as these two master’s degrees range from 42-45 credit hours.

Submit two (2) letters of recommendation with your application.
Send your most recent official transcripts to adultgrad@anderson.edu.
You will be asked to complete brief application essays or submit a writing sample.
Approved by ATS
The Anderson University Seminary in Indiana is approved by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS). The goals for online courses are no different from those who participate in our residential programs: to deliver the highest quality, fully accredited courses in Bible, theology, church history, and pastoral ministry to students already engaged in or preparing for ministry.
Tuition
This is a five-course certificate program. Program costs include:
- Credit Hour: $480
- Graduate Student Fee: $130 per semester
- Seminary Community Fee (residential students enrolled in 6 or more hours): $60 per semester
- Textbooks purchased through university bookstore program or independently
