Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University has announced Launch AU, a $25 million capital campaign to resource the university’s vision for 2040. The three-year campaign has already raised more than $12 million.

Launch AU is an ambitious capital campaign driven by a vision that is joyous, even in the midst of so much uncertainty in the world today,” said President John S. Pistole. “I’m excited to see God’s life-giving plans come to fruition for our campus, our region, the Church of God, and the society we serve in Jesus’ name—and am deeply grateful that we have the privilege of being a part of it.”

The capital campaign is part of AU’s larger Launch 2040 strategic plan, which began in fall of 2022. As university leaders discussed the future, two questions came to the forefront: Future Ravens born on this very day will arrive on our campus in 2040. Will we be ready? What must we do today to ensure this university is prepared to answer our mission for these young souls?

Primary among the campaign’s priorities are scholarships, funding for university’s iconic Tri-S travel program, and creating the Launch Fund, which allows AU to launch new strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the experiential, Christ-centered education students receive.

“The generosity of so many alumni and friends of Anderson University allows us to pursue this ambitious goal,” said Dr. Brent Baker, vice president for advancement. “I am excited and grateful that we have raised more than $12 million dollars to date and I look forward to the impact that fulfilling this campaign goal will have on the students of AU.”
