AU Introduces Boys and Girls Club of Tipton County and Mr. Robert Williams Scholarship Fund

Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University, the Boys and Girls Club of Tipton County, and Kelly and Betsy Williams recently announced the Boys and Girls Club of Tipton County and Mr. Robert Williams Scholarship Fund.
This scholarship is in honor of Bob Williams, a long-time Tipton County resident and supporter of the Boys and Girls Club of Tipton County. Bob was committed to the community and thoroughly enjoyed coaching and helping to develop young students and athletes. Bob valued the importance of education and was proud that his three children completed their bachelor’s degrees. Bob and his wife, Donna, loved watching their children and grandchildren challenge themselves through educational accomplishments, sports and extracurricular activities.
“This scholarship is unique in how it honors the donor’s father, encourages a Tipton High School graduate to attend AU, and also supports the good work of the Boys and Girls Club of Tipton County,” said Dr. Brent Baker, vice president of advancement. “We are grateful for Kelly’s desire to invite other Tipton natives to follow his path to AU and even more so, grateful for his generosity in funding this scholarship.”
The scholarship is designed to provide assistance with educational expenses for a Tipton County resident who is planning to attend Anderson University and has been affiliated with the Boys and Girls Club of Tipton County.
This scholarship is a $7,500 grant given to an AU freshman, starting in fall 2023. This grant will be given annually for an additional three years, totaling $30,000.
Anderson University is on a mission to educate students for lives of faith and service, offering more than 60 undergraduate majors, 30 three-year degrees, 20 NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports, alongside adult and graduate programs. The private, liberal arts institution is fully accredited and recognized among top colleges for its business, computer science, cybersecurity, dance, engineering, nursing, and teacher education programs. Anderson University was established in 1917 in Anderson, Indiana, by the Church of God.
